‘It’s a deal closed this week. And I think in my opinion It is important because we take away important salaries,’ Alemani said.

Before further revealing that Azulgra is likely to continue trying to sign the free agent. ‘We have focused on extending contracts with young players and cutting contracts with experienced players.’

‘We have to pay more attention to the free transfer market. This year we have done it with Kessie, Christensen, Marcos Alonso and Bellerin and there is more to come.’

Alemani also spoke of Barcelona’s new signing last summer and praised the deal with Robert Lewandowski in particular.

‘On the other hand, Pablo Torre is a player of the future, Gunde, Rafinha and Lewandowski give the team a leap in quality.

‘The three showed that they want to come here, Lewandowski, despite being 34 years old, what he shows us every day is his true age is 24.’

‘His attitude in training every day, going on trips with team-mate Presi, I have to tell you you’re right!’
